Using letters from discarded keyboards, the phrase is spelled out and repeated. The original saying is "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." Jack shit is slang for nothing although you can also read it literally. In the film The Shining (1980), the main character, Jack Torrance, types the original saying thousands of times instead of working on his novel.
